PLEASE NOTE: Following the 2009-10 Federal Budget announcement, the Tools For Your Trade voucher initiative has effectively ceased as at 12 May 2009. The Tools For Your Trade voucher initiative will transform into a new Tools For Your Trade payment initiative, commencing on 1 January 2010.

Improved access to tools allows employers to gain greater value from their Australian Apprentices who are better-equipped to perform the duties required of them, and are therefore more productive.

The new Tools For Your Trade payment initiative will commence as of 1 January 2010. For further information on the new initiative and the cessation of the Tools For Your Trade voucher initiative, please read the frequently asked question.

All vouchers issued under the Tools For Your Trade voucher initiative expired on 31 October 2009.

Vouchers will not be reissued under any circumstances. All vouchers that have not been fully expended are now void.

If your apprentice commenced or recommenced on or before 12 May 2009 and think they were eligible under the Tools For Your Trade voucher initiative but did not receive a voucher, contact Tools For Your Trade via telephone on 1800 557 875. .

Due to the cessation of the Tools For Your Trade voucher initiative, vouchers needed to be exchanged for tool kits on or before 31 October 2009.

This is an additional incentive targeted to Australian Apprentices, and is not to affect or displace any tool allowance received as part of an award, or any private arrangement for the provision of tools.
